I'm attending george washington in the fall but soon we have to sign up for house preferences and I have NO IDEA. I'm not really the "party" type (not that I'm a nun or anything, but I prefer hanging out with friends or going out somewhere instead of the huge party thing) so I've pretty much taken Thurston off the list. So far I'm considering Potomac (although it's hard to gauge its "personality," it looks like it'll be nice and social but not assss social as Thurston), but I've also heard good things about Fulbright. In addition, I got into the Honors program, so I'm not sure if I want to live in THAT dorm... it looks a little tooo much for me, but it's still a consideration. so, if you could share your dorm wisdom, what the dorms are like, which ones are good, etc, that would be fabulous! thanks.

well... basically somers is your best bet. Its the biggest (though its really not that big, 250 people) and the nicest. The others are all a lot smaller (30-40). From the quad (center of campus), they go: Cole, Hensley, Clark, Merriweather. So if you want one of those, I would suggest choosing them in that order, though in those dorms it really depends on who else is in there with you. Hope that helps!
